First short-term staff training has been implemented in Austria Between 24th-30th October 2021, the first short term staff training of the Inno4Impact project was carried out in Innsbruck (Austria) with the participation of youth workers and young people from Turkey, Austria, Spain, and Italy. On the first day Participants got the chance to present about their culture and get to know each other. They received information on the Inno4Impact project. They visited the main building of the University of Innsbruck and were informed about the university by the dean of the Faculty of Education. After the morning session, they played the ‘’Treasure Hunt’’ game that enabled them to discover the city through tasks that needed to be completed by the participants. Watch the video on the first training day: On the second day Participants shared their experience on “Treasure Hunt’’ game. Moreover, they worked in groups to make a presentation on the definition of youth work, the history of youth work and the qualifications of youth work in their countries. When the presentations were made by the participants, the trainer highlighted the differences and similarities among the project countries and introduced new approaches to the field of youth work to the participants. Watch the video on the second training day: On the third day Caminos, the Spanish partner, introduced a project on gender stereotypes that was selected as good practice by EPALE in 2021. On the other hand, the participants were able to learn first-hand how important teamwork and communication between team members are, by means of practical exercises with lego pieces. Watch the video on the third training day: On the fourth day The agenda of the fourth day consisted of types of learning: informal, non-formal and formal learning. Participants discussed informal and non-formal learning settings in their countries. Participants were informed on the youth workers’ competences and worked on the key pillars of competences, behaviours, attitudes, and skills that are essential for youth workers who want to provide effective youth work activities. Watch the video on the fourth training day: On the last day Participants worked on the issues of counselling for the youth. They talked about the actors and institutions providing counselling to the youngsters. They worked in groups to identify ‘’Ideal Counselling Centre’’ for young people. At the final stage, they were informed on the Youthpass and revised key competences for Youthpass. Finally, they evaluated the whole training week.
